About these worksheets
There are 144 multiplication facts to 12×12, but the real number is far smaller: knock out the 1s and 10s (trivial), use commutativity (3×8 is 8×3), and the genuinely hard core is a few dozen facts — mostly in the 6s, 7s and 8s. This sheet lays out all twelve tables for reference and reciting. The proven routine: pick one table a week, recite it from this sheet daily, fill in a blank multiplication chart to test recall, then mix old tables into a timed worksheet from the generator.

How many multiplication facts are there really?
The 12×12 grid holds 144, but after the easy 1s and 10s and the mirror pairs (3×8 = 8×3), only around 40 facts need real memorising — mostly 6s, 7s and 8s.
What is the best order to learn the tables?
2s, 5s and 10s first (they follow counting patterns), then 3s, 4s and 6s, finishing with 7s, 8s, 9s, 11s and 12s. The 9s finger trick and the 11s pattern make those two quicker than they look.
How do I test whether the facts are memorised?
The blank multiplication chart is the test: filling the whole grid from memory, faster each week, is clear evidence the facts are automatic.
