About the printable multiplication table
A multiplication grid is great for lookup, but tables written out fact-by-fact are better for reciting and memorising — the traditional "say the whole table" practice. This sheet lays out each times table from 1 to 12 in its own panel, twelve facts per table, so a student can work through one table a week or drill the tricky ones (7s and 8s, usually) on their own. Pair it with the blank chart to test recall afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Which times table should we learn first?
A common order: 2s, 10s and 5s first, then 3s, 4s and 6s, leaving 7s, 8s, 9s, 11s and 12s for last — the 9s and 11s have strong patterns that help.
Is a table better than a chart?
They do different jobs. Written-out tables are for reciting and memorising; the grid chart is for quick lookup and pattern-spotting. Most classrooms use both.
Can I print just one table larger?
The full set prints on one page. For single-table practice sheets, use the worksheet generator to make focused drills.
